Not only is this dish a family favorite but Zach later prepared a version of this dish on a local TV cooking competition called, “The Big Dish” on KOFY-TV in San Francisco. This show was a Chopped-inspired cooking challenge where local armature home chefs competed to have their dish featured on the menu of a local San Francisco Bay Area restaurant. For Zach’s episode he was competing to be on the menu of San Francisco’s Historic “Cliff House“.
For the actual competition Zach prepared the Maple Glazed Cedar Plank Salmon over a Coconut-Cauliflower Puree, with Grilled Asparagus & Spicy Kale Chips as a garnish. It was the Kale Chips that set his dish apart and he won the competition.
